It is a farmer-focused campaign, inspiring farmers to take pride in having a disease free herd.

In 2017, the Government increased pressure to reduce antibiotic use on-farm in favour of vaccination and disease prevention. We worked with MSD to encourage farmers to embrace whole herd health planning and work closer with their vets.

In 2017, the Government increased pressure to reduce antibiotic use on-farm in favour of vaccination and disease prevention. We worked with MSD to encourage farmers to embrace whole herd health planning and work closer with their vets.

The Impact

This two-year project achieved the client’s aims, generating widespread industry recognition. Delivering peer-to-peer content marketing, ambassador farmers and vets were the faces of the project.

Key achievements:

  • Ongoing exposure to the readership of Farmers Guardian and Dairy Farmer magazines with 30 informative articles, offering practical herd health planning, vaccination, expert advice and case studies.
  • Dedicated landing page, housing all content. This generated  35,000 views, from +20,000 unique users and an average read time of +1 minute during the lifetime of the project. It remains a central conduit for all our content and continues to attract traffic.
  • Ongoing audience engagement over social media with a monthly blog from ambassador farmers, generating valued sentiment
  • Reinforcement of content and messaging with 10 videos, which generated over 54,000 views across YouTube and Facebook.
