The Co-op Farmers Pioneers scheme offers business skills and a support network to farmers aged 18-34, in a bid to strengthen the future of the industry. We worked together to produce content, expand the reach of the scheme and generate industry wide engagement.
The Impact
Year One
Inundated with requests for ‘more!’, by farmers and industry bodies keen to share the information, we knew we had succeeded in achieving the objective of this project – education.
Key achievements:
- Increase in applications for the 2020 Co-op Young Pioneers scheme.
- Production of a series of six 16-page A5 practical guides on key topics including succession, consumer trends, skills, and training. All were well-received by grassroots farmers and industry bodies, including the Farmers Union of Wales.
- Dedicated hub housing digital versions of each booklet.
- Bespoke social media campaigns, attracting 5,200 hub views with an exceptionally long average read time of over 2 minutes.
